“ Delicious food, welcoming atmosphere and exceptional wine We had a wonderful dinner at Osteria del Pegno and would gladly return. The host welcomed us warmly — even without a reservation — and made us feel right at home from the start. We began with a prosciutto and fig appetizer that was incredibly fresh and flavorful. It set the tone for the rest of the meal. The host also recommended a white wine that paired perfectly with our dishes — light, crisp, and absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we ordered the lasagna, gnocchi, and a chicken dish with sweet peppers and tomato sauce. The pasta dishes were the stars of the night — 4 out of 4 in our book — while the chicken dish was solid, but just a step below at 3 out of 4. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, with great attention to flavor and detail. The cozy setting, attentive service, and quality of the food made this one of our favorite dining experiences in Rome. ”
“ This osteria is absolutely worth a visit! It shouldn’t bother you, that it is located in a small alley not close to any restaurants nearby. The mussels, fish and pizza were simply delicious. The prices are moderate and the service was great. We also recognized, that many locals were around us, which is always an indicator for a good restaurant. ”

“ After many brilliant restaurants across Italy, here we found our favourite. Exceptional food, lovely service, both in a beautiful atmosphere. Calm and away from the tourist hubbub. The meatballs earn their reputation. I don’t know how they do that. I spent half the dinner wondering how they cook them so perfectly. The tiramisu is delicious. My partner ordered the zucchini salad which I wasn’t excited about but I was wrong. Divine. Go here. ”
“ Out of all the places I ate in Rome during my trip last week, this had to have been where I had the best meal. Located in an intimate alleyway, away from the touristy areas, you can eat outside or inside (which is decorated beautifully). I ordered the classic Roman dish, Rigatoni alla Gricia, and it was just perfect. The service was also so wonderful! The waiters were as kind as could be. If you're ever anywhere near the Centro Storico area in Rome, I can't recommend this spot enough! ”

“ I wish I could give it a 4.5 Service was great! Everyone was very friendly Food was very good aswell. We shared prosciutto e fichi. My mom had the ossobuco di vitello. I had the ravioli (first in the pasta list). Veryyyyy good! I had 1/4 of red house wine which was good price - fair quaility. And they even gave us a limoncello in the house .. which I’m not sure is the norm or not but we really enjoyed it. ”
